Eco Home The Osprey– Awarded 2017 HIA Australian GreenSmart Spec Home of the Year
HIA Australian GreenSmart Awards recognise the best in environmentally-responsible housing. Award winners and finalists are continuously making a positive difference to the environment by building sustainable, energy-efficient and comfortable homes.
On September 5th, Eco-Essence Homes was awarded the 2017 HIA Australian GreenSmart Home of the Year with the Osprey from their Classic Range of eco home designs. Featuring a timeless facade and a 1960’s feel, the Osprey is jam-packed with eco home features, all of which epitomises the Australian climate and way of life. Some of the outstanding classic beach cottage features include simple organic box-like volumes, sweeping skillion rooflines, angled feature posts and a mix of lightweight cladding finishes. The recollection of features doesn’t stop there, as you walk through the front door the interior of the home takes full advantage of the Australian lifestyle with striking timber details, white quartz polished concrete floors and glass walls inviting gardens and the glistening swimming pool to enter the home from all angles. Fluid and passive orientated open plan internal and external living and entertaining spaces further showcase why modern efficiency and timeless trends of the Osprey ought to be a labour of love for all Australian homes.
This is the second successive year Eco-Essence Homes has won at the HIA Australian GreenSmart Awards, last year winning the coveted 2016 HIA Australian GreenSmart Home award with another amazing eco home design, The Cloud from their Pacific Range of eco-homes.
